About the Northwest Ride of Dreams
What is the Northwest Ride of Dreams?
The Northwest Ride of Dreams is a statewide fundraising effort organized by local law enforcement agencies throughout the state to benefit Special Olympics Washington. This unique event is a procession of all types of motorcycles followed by a festival-type celebration to include a classic car show.
On Saturday, August 28, 2010 thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts, classic car buffs and fans of Special Olympics will hit the highways and byways to raise money and awareness for local Special Olympics programs.
Where:
Motorcycles will stage at several primary starting points throughout the state (Marysville, Seattle, Centralia, Kennewick, Spokane and Other Locations) and culminate at the West Ellensburg/Rotary Park in beautiful Ellensburg, Washington. Upon arrival, participants will be welcomed by the Special Olympics althletes, families and friends to have fun and celebrate the mission of Special Olympics.
The end celebration will include a classic car show, vendors, food, entertainment, a Special Olympics induction ceremony, raffle drawings, and family friendly activities for all. All registered participants will receive a goody bag and a 2011 Northwest Ride of Dreams t-shirt.

Why?:
All proceeds collected by participants benefit the Special Olympics Washington program in their local areas and will help further the Special Olympics Washington Mission.
How to Participate:
Each motorcycle/classic car must raise a minimum of $30.00 to participate. Each individual that raises the minimum $30.00 donation will receive an official event t-shirt and entry to the post-event party. Don’t ride a motorcycle or own classic car? Cheer on from the sidelines at one of the starting points or attend the post-ride festivities. Non-riders can still raise money and make a difference in the lives of local athletes. If you are unable to raise $30 for registering, the event is free and designated non-registered parking will be provided.
